Philip M. Hannan, retired Archbishop of New Orleans, former chaplain with the famous 82nd Airborne in WWII, counselor and friend to President and First Lady Kennedy, hero, pastor and personal friend died this morning (September 29, 2011) at the age of 98 years.

Wishing an enjoyable day to all fathers. It will be the first Fathers’ Day I’ve ever spent without talking to my dad.

Leo Augustine Cavell, 83, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at 9:20 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 19, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 201 E. Bayou Parkway, Lafayette, Louisiana. Visitation will be St. Pius X Catholic Church, from 8:30 a.m., until time of the funeral with burial to follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.

March got here so quickly this year. After a cold winter, Mardi Gras is almost here. Vegetable seeds are sprouting. The hyacinths and jonquils are blooming. Amaryllis are promising and the pear tree is pregnant with anticipation. It all leads to a pleasant weariness every evening.

Looks like one Cav Cuzzin gets a star! I saw this item on a BBC news site. British actor Henry Cavill is to star as Superman in the next movie about the flying superhero.
