LSU C4G to stream live the 2014 La. Height Mod. Workshop.<\/h2>\n

\"2014The staff of LSU Center for Geoinformatics are hosting the 2014 workshop Tuesday July 29, 2014. The event takes place in the Lod Cook Hotel & Conference Center on the LSU campus. Registration starts at 7:45 AM and the closing will be about 4:00 PM. If you can’t attend or didn’t register (seating is limited) space for a few may still be available on a first-come\/first-served basis. There is no charge for admission or for access to the stream.<\/p>\n

The principal guest speaker is William E. Henning, III, PLS of Dagsboro, Delaware. He will address the event on “Vertical Truth,” the variety of things we call “Heights” and a comparison of static vs. RTK for heights.<\/p>\n

Clifford J. Mugnier, CP, CMS will address the “History of Satellite Geodesy.” Mugnier is a member of the faculty in the LSU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.<\/p>\n

The keynote speaker is Mr. Tim R. Osborne of NOAA Office of Coast Survey in Lafayette, La. Welcoming and introductory remarks will be made by George Z. Voyiadjis, PhD, Boyd Professor and Chairman of the LSU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Kalliat T. Valsaraj, PhD Vice Chancellor for LSU Research & Economic Development.\"C4G-logo\"<\/p>\n
