Roger C. Wilkinson, PLS &amp; Carl L. Mistric, PLS, two charter members of the organization were present and honored by the group for their foresight and long service to the profession. Also present was William Coleman, PLS, President Elect of the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Mr. Coleman hails from Dallas, North Carolina. The annual meeting included comments from outgoing President Kevin Burdeau, PLS who passed the gavel to President Stephen Flynn who challenged those present to represent themselves and their profession with honor and distinction<\/p>\n<p>Other dignitaries included the President of the Mississippi Association of Professional                                      Surveyors, Joe W. Byrd, PS and several present and former members and administrators of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board. Distinguished speakers at the event included feature speaker Walter G. Robillard, RLS, H. Glen Kent, Jr. PLS, Bobby Freyou, Charles St. Romain, PLS and Stephen Estopinal, PLS.<\/p>\n<p>The event was hosted by the local LSPS District 2 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center and organized by the committee composed of Francis Fields, PLS, James Pellegrin, PLS, Galen Bollinger, PLS, Jeff DeBlieux, PLS, Johnny Robichaux, PLS, Tim Allen, PLS, John Hebert, PLS, Dillon Baronne, and Holly Hebert who coordinated events for the spouses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors celebrated their 50th anniversary in Houma, Louisiana.
