Michael Pallamary is someone who I call a friend. He is also a surveyor and author living in California. One reviewer said, “Pallamary has just published a 671-page collection of Brown’s writings and lectures. “The Curt Brown Chronicles” (Authorhouse) is a surveyor’s bowl of creme brulee: The history, science, equipment, ethics and complex law underlying the ownership of land, the source of so much joy, sorrow and bloodshed.”

I received the new, thick, very handsome volume in the mail a few days ago and cleared my current reading so I could make room for this book. It is a compilation with commentary of many of Brown’s published works and stories of his life. I am a few tens of pages into the book as I write this post and am certainly NOT disappointed! Normally I will write about a book in the form of a review after finishing it. This one promises to be special and so it gets different treatment.

Thanks, Michael.

Curtis M.
