Surveyor Beats Down Two GPS Thieves

Two Bremerton,Wash. men are facing felony theft charges – and, in one’s case, hospital bills – following allegations that they tried to steal a GPS receiver before the unit’s owner beat them down.

In charging documents, King County prosecutors contend Paul Christman, 28, and Chad S. Millard, 23, tried to make off with a $20,000 receiver on May 14. The unit’s owner was able to follow the men and retrieve the receiver after a brief altercation.
