
Wife and mother to two LSPS past presidents, Sheila Coyle succumbed Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 after a courageous struggle with brain cancer. Her husband Charles G. Coyle, Jr. and son Charles III both served LSPS. Her support and love touched many. She graduated from Plain Dealing High School in 1963. received her degree in education from Northwestern State University, and led a career as an elementary school teacher in Caddo and Bossier Parishes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Plain Dealing with the Reverend William H. Searight and Reverend Art Vance officiating. Burial will be at Cottage Grove Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 23rd, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Punkin Wells. She is survived by her husband Charles Graves Coyle, her son Charles Graves Coyle III (Charlie) and wife Julie, of Shreveport; daughter Maggie Coyle Tufail and husband Amer Tufail of New Orleans; grandchildren; Reza Tufail, Laith Tufail, and Taj Tufail of New Orleans; Jackson Scott Coyle and Mary Helen Coyle of Shreveport.
